What we made — 2025 / 2026

Diablo II: Resurrected — Garden Style Guide. A multi-page brand style guide governing logo usage, color, typography, and key-art rules for the D2R "Garden" launch — a senior creative-direction deliverable that sets the rules for a wider rollout.

Diablo II: Resurrected — Garden Box Art & Incentive SKUs. Campaign identity and SKU key-art systems across base-edition and bundle-edition formats, plus paid-media keyart treatments for Diablo IV: Spiritborn and the Ultimate Expansion Bundle.

Overwatch franchise creative systems. Ongoing production covering HTML5 banner production, video editing, video animation, and production design across the Overwatch franchise.

WoW & Overwatch paid-media production. High-volume video, static, roadmap, and character-kit assets built for publisher, platform, and brand review.

Result

Shows the level of franchise stewardship Dept5 supports: style guides that set the campaign look and feel, key art that defines the SKU architecture, and visual systems strong enough to guide global paid media.

Why it matters

Game-launch statics have to do a lot quickly: show the hero, explain the ability kit, respect franchise UI, and still read inside social placements.

This set makes the Overwatch example feel like a real production system: multiple crops, multiple compositions, and a repeatable information-design language instead of a single portfolio thumbnail.

"David and the Department 5 team have helped us with several assets for top priority media campaigns. They are friendly, efficient and highly experienced — which is why we return to them time and time again. They are accessible for quick revisions and always deliver on time."
Teresa Naff · Senior Manager, Global Marketing — Overwatch 2 · Activision Blizzard
"David is exactly what any prospective client would want in an agency partner — creative, attentive, and organized. Curveball after curveball would be thrown at David & his team and they handled every wrinkle quickly and effectively. He always makes whatever you throw at him look amazing, and does it on (or ahead of) schedule and budget. David's the best!"

What we make

FFXIV Dawntrail launch production. 1,200 finished assets in five weeks: trailer edits, social cutdowns, animated supers, animated end cards, rating/logo versions, localization, and platform-ready exports.

Trailer and social video versioning. Dawntrail benchmark cuts, Pictomancer social edits, Patch 7.2 story cuts, Shadowbringers and Stormblood campaign videos — built for the right length, ratio, market, rating, and media buy.

HTML5 and display systems. Stranger of Paradise, Final Fantasy XVI, FFXIV patch, and NieR display units built with launch polish, end-frame discipline, QA, and the sub-150KB mindset publishers need.

Why it matters

Square Enix can hand Dept5 a source trailer, art stack, localization matrix, rating requirements, and platform list. We turn it into the many finished pieces a real game launch needs without making every cut feel like a smaller version of the same ad.

"Department 5 has been an exceptional partner for our marketing team. They are highly responsive and accessible to us, consistently deliver top-quality work, and are dedicated to meeting project deadlines. We highly recommend their services."
Chris Roncone · Senior Marketing Manager · Square Enix America
"I worked with David and his company Dept5 regularly during my time at Square Enix. They are always professional, the output quality was always high, and they were rarely opposed to taking on trailer loc and versioning projects with a short timeline. I especially enjoyed working with David in developing HTML5 assets — that is where Dept5's creative skillset really shined."
